We take them down log-by-log, transport them to wherever you want them and reassemble
them, preserving the charm of the past while adding all the modern
conveniences.
Under the experienced eye of company founder Mel Shakespeare,
each pioneer log home is carefully documented, numbered and then disassembled for relocation to sites throughout North America where they begin
life again as restored period log homes—with all the modern conveniences added. Imagine living in an historic home that's custom built for you!
Our period log houses and timber frame houses have been relocated to a variety of sites in
Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and throughout the United States.
Reused as year-round country residences, inns, lodges and week-end
retreats, another meaning of recyclability is offered. We like
to think our reclamation and interpretation of pioneer log homes and post & beam homes, with their simplicity, purity and sense of belonging
in a delicately balanced environment, provides a useful contribution
to the present where the true craftsmanship of log buildings is appreciated.
