The “Forester” Log House
One of the best log houses we’ve found in a while.
…a show-off if we’ve ever seen one.
It’s a tall story and a half, allowing for three roomy bedrooms and a bath upstairs. Another 275 sq ft can be added by turning this one into a saltbox, providing a spacious 10 x 27 kitchen.
If 1200 to 1500 sq ft. isn’t enough, we have another one that would match up nicely for another 1000 ft of space.

Above and below: Disassembling this log house on its original site. Note the large size and hand-hewn surface of the logs, with close, even gaps between …and with great dovetails at the corners! This house was built by an early craftsman.
