The “Laurentian” Log House
At the moment Tradition Home has a matching pair of log houses dating back to the first half of the 19th century. We believe they were built by the same craftsman in that they have unusual features seldom seen; tall ceilings, large window openings and the main entrance on the gable end.
Over the years we have built a few in the Laurentians, a favourite year-round playground in Quebec. There is nothing like a log house to withstand the rigors of the Canadian climate while providing the cosy interior charm they provide. So here they are rendered together, a perfect marriage of two great early Canadian buildings as getaway or family home. Of course we recommend our Tradition Windows and French doors for this one.
