“The Homestead” Log House

Circa 1840

Two log cabins come together in marriage to create the most harmonious relationship. Elevation shows charm and practicality as vistas open on all sides. Three or four bedrooms fit easily into this 3000 sq. ft. design. “As far as I’m concerned,” says Mel Shakespeare, the award-winning period home designer, “this one has the best lines ever.”

A spacious kitchen, laundry, 2-pc, pantry and mudroom. Living and dining rooms can each accommodate cozy fireplaces. The entry allows for great flow to all parts of the house, even to a convenient office for work-from-home-owners. We welcome you to come and see these colossal log shells standing now in our facility near Port Hope, Ontario. These are truly impressive logs that may harbour your family for generations.
